A Question for the Diabetics Out There

I have a question for all the diabetics (or former diabetics) who have been sleeved. As a diabetic, I don't heal well. Any nick, cut or scratch can get infected almost immediately. I am just worried that I am purposefully going to have holes cut in me to be sleeved. And the healing my stomach will have to do... I lay awake at night and worry about this constantly.

Is there anyone out there who went into surgery with this concern? And maybe some advice. I have my diabetes well in control. Any words of advice or encouragement would be appreciated. Thank you!

HI. I was a diabetic type II. I had my surgery on 21 March , had 5 keyholes and they all healed really well. And my sugar levels are normal now without meds. So good luck !!
