Question? I am 6 days post op and I can swallow 4oz in 2-3 sip with no problem....

I'm starting to feel a sense as DO I REALLY HAVE A SLEEVE??? Anyone else can do the same thing this early, I mean granted I have a slight discomfort but like for 2 seconds and that's it, I never drink anymore than 4 oz at a time because I do feel satisfied not full but satisfied. Anyone know what I am talking about?

And if I don't have a sleeve the dr. must have taken out the hormone that makes you hungry cause I haven't been really hungry since the surgery so at least that's a good thing LOL

So, totally hear you! I was the same way. I could drink like crazy, but when I got to solid food...Totally different story. I would rather drink my meals than eat. It doesn't matter if I take a bite every 2 minutes or every 5 minutes, I'm still way uncomfortable and can't eat over 4 ounces. My NUT said I would eventually be up to 8 ounces, but I don't see that happening! LOL Good luck!

I'm the same as you. Never had a problem with drinking or with the temperature of the drink. I take big sips frequently with no problem. I felt the same, "did I really get sleeved?" Once you start eating, you will know you've been sleeved, but it's a good feeling. Best wishes, Roberta

i'm a week out and i can drink a good amount. Not eating foods yet, but i did try eating jello yesterday and it took a long time, so that made me feel better too.

WELLLLLLL I feel MUCH MUCH better!!!! Because liquids are not a problem for me, I mean it was at first like day 1,2,3,maybe 4, but today at 5 I can take a drink like any person that hasn't been sleeved! I was like if I get when I can actually eat food and it goes down good......ummmmmm where is my RECIEPT!! I need a REFUND......PLEASE! LOLOLOLOL j/k

I have the same thoughts as you. I'm only two weeks out and I can take full drinks just as I did before the surgery. I had in my mind also "did I actually have anything done??" I'm on pureed right now and I feel I can eat a good amount considering. It worries me because if I can eat this well right now, will I get back into over eating?

I have never had a problem drinking or eating fruit. I can eat fruit like crazy. When I eat real food I can only eat maybe 5 oz at one time.

I just open a can of vegetable soup and just ate the broth out of it and its one of those Progressive soups its an 18.5 oz with the vegetables, pasta, etc. and I put it in a bow and I ate pretty much half the broth. So I'm guessing about 8 oz of broth then I drank 3 oz of orange juice.....I PRAY I start to get a better restriction when it comes to real food.

Same here! I'm chugging away on my liquids. Looking forward to the restriction that comes with food!
