Help! I am going on 4 weeks post op and have not seen any weight change for a week! I am drinking water and getting protein and even exercising. What is going on? Please tell me that I have not done all this for nothing!
its called a stall everyone has them and everybody pulls thru them. its nothing strange, maintain your fluids and protiens everything will be fine. its the bodys way of saying hey why am i losing weight so fast, i need to slow things down until i figure out if everything is ok..type stall up in the search bar and you will see many post about it
Sorry to be slightly blunt but you need to educate yourself more - read more and panic less. Weight not moving for a week or even more (often two weeks for me at a time) is common, it doesn't mean it's not working, but scales are not the only indicator of how you're going. Often a period of a stall on the scales is followed by a sudden drop and then another stall.
I have had this happen all along the way through my journey. Nobody ever said to any of us that we would lose on the scales every day or ever week. Just keep doing the right things and you will continue to lose weight.
I keep telling myself not to worry about these 'stalls'. The body needs a chance to catch up with everything that is going on inside. I hope maybe it will help the skin 'shrink up' too. Look at the progress you've already made, you're already in a healthier spot in life! Mathematically, there's no way we can't lose weight. Relax and let's all be thankful for the 2nd chance we've been given! Here's to us!

Just be calm and breath, it's your first stall of many to come. My first one lasted three weeks and then the weight loss started again. Just stick to your plan and if you haven't yet try to get some exercise in. Pretty much everyone goes through this and you just have to wait it out. Be strong, I promise it will pass.
