    Default Are there others?

Hello fellow sleevers. I have a question for y'all. I am a mere 2 weeks out. I have lost 18lbs counting my week of preop dieting, and as proud of myself as I am for losing the weight...I'm NOT seeing it in my clothing. I haven't gone down a size yet, but my 20's are a little baggy and my 18's are a little too tight. Why is it one person can lose 20lbs and go down 3 or 4 sizes, while another person can lose the same amount of weight and not budge in size?! I know that it has to do with how each person carries their weight, yada yada yada, It's just soooooo frustrating! I am wondering if there are others out there who see the scale moving, but not their clothing size?

I remember that frustration. It will happen, trust me. You may still have a little swelling and may be retaining fluids. Good luck. At some point, you'll be changing sizes every other week it seems and it will happen sooner rather than later.

I'm going through the same thing right now but I'm not too worried. It will start coming off soon and the jeans that are too tight now to wear will be falling off my butt like my old ones are starting to now. I lost 28 pounds in the week since my surgery but that didn't come off all in one spot or was enough to take me out of a full size. I've lost a lot of weight in my face, hands and feet that isn't showing up in clothing size.

it REALLY depends where you carry the weight. i started at a 24/26 and am now a womens14 or 1x pants. it took a LONG time to drop too. i carry all my weight in my belly and it just does not want to go...waist is still 40 inches. the rest of my body is smaller...and legs are pretty dang good :P

dont be frustrated, honestly it WILL go...just be patient

The scale flucuates, however, I see changes in my face, neck, and some clothes fit much looser that were once too tight. As long as I see the difference in my clothes, I'm ok with the numbers on the scale because they are going down.

I'll second Lisa. It depends on where you carry the weight, and also how tall you are. Mine is pretty evenly distributed, and I'm short (5'3") and it takes me 15-20 lbs to drop a size. Oddly, the larger I am, it takes more pounds lost per size. Once I get under a 14 or so, it takes a little less weight to lose a size.

    Give it time. It'll happen!
