Prayers please....

Hi everyone,

I'm writing to request prayers! I meet with my surgeon on June 7th. The program coordinator called me today and said that I'll probably get my surgery in July....YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!! My insurance resets/restarts July 1st and I need to have the surgery before then! Also, I have work issues for the 2nd and 4th weeks of July.

All of that being said please pray for a quick surgery date!!!!!! I've started the liquid diet for 2 meals per day now and on June 1st I'll go to an all liquid diet. Hopefully they'll recognize that and I'll get a quicker surgery date.


I read your stories and even though I don't know you guys, I am super proud of you and your hard work. I want so badly to be one of the 'post-op'ers!! :-) Thank you for reading this and for your prayers! Angela

Hi AKL, I had the same issue. I am a county employee and our insurance starts a new year in July too. One place I went to was booking surgeries in like September. I said oh nooo, that won't work. So I stayed local and got in very quickly. My whole start to finish was about 5 weeks. Now, I'm 5 weeks post op. So even if the place you are going to now can't fit you in, don't disregard looking around for another surgeon. Good luck!

Praying but don't be afraid to speak up and tell them why the rush. They will normally accomodate if possible.
