    Default Dress size wow moment

Wore a size 20 dress to the hospital on May 31st. Today I put on an old navy dress size 16 in my closet. It's the only size 16 I have in my closet. I had no idea that I would wear this dress during the Summer months.....wow.

this is Fantabulous! Isn't it a great feeling? I cannot believe how the clothes I never thought I'd fit into again are now too big! and Shopping is a joy. Tried on Last summers' shorts and tee shirts and it felt like I was wearing a potato sack. Keep up the good work. So many more goals to achieve and this one was so easy to get to!

Yes, I know you are proud. I have this pair of jeans that I couldn't wear before surgery and they got accidently put in the dryer and I can still fit them comfortably! YEA us!!!

Congrats! Isn't it an awesome feeling? I have lost down so that all of my clothes are way too big. I have always felt that clothes that are too big look just as bad as clothes that are too small, so I am like you, clearance and resale shopping is the way I am going until I reach my goal. I have been able to find some good deals and I am not spending a fortune for something that I may not be able to wear very long. I had a garage sale recently and sold all of my work clothes and I then promptly took the money and bought new slacks and jackets for work! I think that all of us have probably felt that moment of awe and it makes you feel so good about yourself!! Its not vanity to be so excited about your new shape! You deserve it!

I just had surgery 5 days ago. I was wondering how long do you stay swollen from the surgery. Do you just notice one day that you are no longer swollen or does it go away slowly? What should I be expecting? Is each person different? Am I being unrealistic? Please give me some clue as to what I should expect. BTW, how much is an average weight loss within the first month after surgery?

Congratulations on your new life! I was never swollen from the surgery, I would post this question to get answers from other sleevers. If you read even just this months posts- under new posts, all of these quesitons will be answered--sort of. What I mean by this is, there is no one definitive answer. the only common thing i have found is that everyone stalls on weight loss. don't freak out, you will lose the weight slowly over time if you keep with the program eating lean and tasty protein and veggies.I have read that one week after many weeks of NOT losing weight, one will drop 10 lbs in a week.

Congratulations! I had a "WOW" moment myself when my son graduated high school. I slipped my fat ass into a size 16 dress ... and when I started this journey on March 2, it was hard for me to shimmy into a size 24 ...

    YAY for your WOW!
