Complications

Just giving a update. I had my surgery on the 17th and I'm still in the hospital. After surgery I had major internal bleeding and was going in and out of consciousness. My blood pressure was around 60/40 so they rushed me to icu. I had to get a blood transfusion and my whole stomack is red and bruised badly. Other then that I'm great lol. Hopefully they are going to discharge me by friday. They are supposed to be taking me out of icu today and into a regular room. My doctor said that out 1500 surgeries he perform that my case was the only case that was difficult. The reason why I was internally bleeding was because I had a lap band before. When the lap band slipped it started to get embedded to my liver. Which when he removed my lapband it caused me to bleed. Hopefully I will be home soon. I'm not in too much in pain but just tired, uncomfortable because these hospital beds suck and have a little nausea. Hopefully this will be all worth it in the end.

That is so scary! I had my lapband removed when my appendix ruptured and I became septic. I am positive that it was such a blessing that I had it removed back then and waited 2 years before having the sleeve. There are so many band horror stories out there and I feel like even though you are going through a health crisis now, you are well on your way to recovery! Hope you get to go home soon and start living your new sleeved life!

wow my dear so sorry to hear you are going thru so much but with God's help soon you will be seeing the blessings from this new life.
