Default PLEASE HELP! I am not losing weight

I had my surgery on 3/12 and stopped losing weight for the last two weeks. I am stuck and feel this might be it. I might be failing. I am watching my calorie intake and taking my protein but not losing an oz. I am drinking about 48 oz of fluids but when I pass water "pee" it is dark color. Don't know what to do and started to lose hope. What should I do?

Take a deep breath and let it out. Relax darling...you're so new after surgery. Your body went through MAJOR surgery. You've already dropped more weight than is considered normal on most diets, if you recall. Your body is simply adjusting and this is NOT it for your weight loss and you are NOT failing!
Give yourself a break...smile, wash your face and go about your day after you weigh yourself. This surgery and sleeve is for the rest of your life. Believe me I know the desire to get all the weight off as quickly as possible, but I'll let you in on a secret....we all lose weight at different rates, at different times and no two people are alike here.
In the end, at this time next year....you will have dropped MAJOR weight and you won't recognize yourself. There will be a totally different person, in many respects, looking back at you in the mirror.
Just keep on doing the right things and the rest will fall in line when the body says it is time.

Try to increase your liquids. The dark color shows that you are not getting enough water. Once you start getting enough fluids you will surely start losing again.

Well 48oz of fluids is the minimum per day...try for more..like 64oz. Call your doctor and mention your dark urine and fluid intake. They might want to test you for dehydration.

As for not losing, many people have a stall begin in week three. Follow your plan closely, stay in contact with your doctor and try to relax. It's very common to stall about now.

I was also done on the 12th and my numbers hadn't changed in week 2 & 3 either until this morning, down 5 pounds. The only different thing I have done is added chicken in the last weeek AND increased my water. My dietician said you have to eat to loose! I was really only doing the protein shakes and soup before.
I would definitely increase your liquid intake. If your urine stays dark give the doc a quick call.

You are dehydrated. Drink more water. It is without doubt one of the most important things to keep track of, our bodies are made up of lots of the stuff.
You don't mention your diet or your exercise regime. Have you referred back to the prescribed diets posts on this site for suggestions and compared it to your diet currently? Only my suggestions, but this site has lots of info kindly posted by people to share the info on the procedure and what to eat when.
All the best. It would be a shame to give up and doom yourself to an unhappy fat life. You've just come from their and I'm sure you deserve a life better than that.

The dark urine is indicative of dehydration. You MUST increase your fluid intake starting immediately. Avoid caffeine or drinks that act like diuretics such as coffee and teas. Drink some bouillon, it will give you sodium to help keep some water. And try some low cal Powerade or Gatorade which will help replace electrolytes as well. Did you inform your surgeon or family doctor of the dark urine? They may want to do some blood work, just to be sure your minerals aren't out of whack. Are you taking your vitamins? If yes, and a children's-you should be taking 2 a day-one in the morning and one in the evening.

As others said you're dehydrated and that dark color is partly that, and partly (good news) ketones, which means yes you are losing weight. Your body is just moving things around. Classic 3rd week stall. Our bodies are magnificent machines. Just keep on keeping on, drink lots more (I'd say double it) and hang in there. The scale will move again soon.

Just relax before you know it the weight will come off, you're barely a month out. I couldn't see any changes at first and now at just over 3 months out fit into things 5 to 6 sizes smaller and my old pants just fall to the floor, even the hips don't stop them. But I would check into the dark urine with a doctor if drinking more water doesn't help it soon as others have suggested.

Like the wise people before me have said...
    Don't panic or get discouraged.
    Take a deep breath.
Try to sip, sip, sip more water.
Have patience. You are probably in the "dreaded 3rd week stall". Mine lasted nearly 3 weeks, and MANY of us went through it.. You will lose weight if you do what the doctors tell you to do.
Last but not least, "SMILE!! " You are well on your way to a new and healthier life!

Hang in there friend! I had surgery the same day and I too hit a weight loss wall. It was very disheartening. I took the advice of many and took measurements before my pre op diet and therefore I had measurements to fall back on when the scale stuck! Two days ago my scale FINALLY moved down 2lbs!! I am working really hard at getting my 64oz of fluid in each day and trying to achieve an 800 calorie intake a day. Working hard to get my protein from my food sources and then a shake at night if I fall short of 60g. I also have increased my walking, distance and speed. Best of luck at your appt. Be kind to yourself!
