    Default Skin after weight loss

I am wondering about skin after weight loss. I am currently 316 pounds and am concerned about the amount of sagging skin after weight loss. Is there anything I can do? Is there anyone my size that has a good secret?

Coconut oil and spanks or something similar to hold it all in until it shrinks back up. That is what I have been doing and mine isn't that bad.

I am in the same boat as you. I am going to be 50 this year so it is an issue. I was told coconut oil lotion, coco butter lotion and lotion (Gold Bond Ultimate rocks) with vitamin E are helpful. Women who have had children also use these products. Working out and muscle toning will tighten skin. I am also taking a supplement called astaxanthin which is being shown as an effective anti aging antioxidant. I take 12 mg a day. Will it help with skin? I don't know but I'll take all the help I can get, lol. If you find anything else out please share! Have a great evening.

It really depends on the person, and everyone is different (I know, I get tired of hearing that, too, but it's so true). Whether or not you have a lot of excess skin depends on things like your age, your weight, how long you've been overweight, your diet, your exercise. For me, I've been overweight my whole life (I'm 26). I know that my skin doesn't have something to "bounce back" to, like some people have if they were thin and then gained the weight over a relatively short period of time. So, just because I'm young, doesn't mean my skin will bounce back (and it's doing a good job of not bouncing back... hopefully that will change and it will kind of rebound some, I hope!).

Massaging lotion/oils into your skin to stimulate it is apparently a good thing. Cosmetically, and to get it out of the way, compression garments are the way to go as a quick fix.

hi, after reading these interesting tips I think I might start now with the moisturiser my surgery is in 34 days and I am 54 this year, have been big for about 16 years, and 4 kids later,
hmmmm so my thinking is saying better to start early and hopefully get a possible better chance of healing and shrinking,
thanks people I didn't think about the saggy skin ,
I could donate to science..hehe do you think they might be interested, ....saggy over stretched 54 year old pale skin from places not to be named..haha
think I better go to bed ( 10:45 pm) my sense of humour is getting more whacky than usual and have work in the morning blah.
