I have a dress I bought 5 years ago and I got mega hit on at a pub in it..I'm holding that sucker so tight one day I look forward to putting it back on
I have a size 9, floral, one piece, zip up the back, skort outfit from the early 90's hanging in the back of my closet. I wore it to my niece's high school graduation that was held in my hometown. I had moved out of state and hadn't seen old friends and family for years. I felt so attractive in that outfit! (I had matching earrings, too!) One of my old neighbors told me I looked like a Barbie Doll. Well...not any more. If I can ever fit in that outfit again, I'll know I've reached some sort of ultimate goal. Heck, I'd even post a picture of me wearing it!!!
I kept my favorite "skinny" clothes and they are coming in perfectly handy now that I've shed about 60#. I'm wearing stuff from right out of college in the 90's so it isn't too hideous but the pleats on my pants are a bit severe compared to the more relaxed pleats / flat fronts of today. It's honestly been nice to have these clothes because if I didn't, nothing else would fit in terms of my pants at this point. It really does feel like shopping to have a 12 year old shirt start fitting again, especially since the stuff I saved was good stuff. I have noticed that a lot of the cotton things have holes in them and that's the disadvantage of natural fabrics I guess. I do have a few funky OP shirts from high school I may whip out.
