Drain??? !!!

I did have one but only for the hospital stay then they removed it and was able to go home without it.

Yes mine was removed on day 3, the day before I went home. They seemed to think it was ok to remove because there was not much coming into it anymore. Perhaps if someone still had a lot of fluid going into it they would have to take it home?

I had one for 8 days post op. Seems like a lot of variations with the different doctors.

I had a drain for exactly 24 hours. Once I had my leak test that sucker was removed

I had one from Monday (day of surgery) through Thursday. For me it was gross to look at but I did have quite a bit of drainage and it's a great indicator of if there's a problem.
