Default Getitng close to goal but maybe too fast!!

Down 32 pounds with only 13 more to go. I have decided to slow it down a little to let my body catch up a little. I want to start lifting weights again but can't for a couple more weeks so I want to time that with my goal weight. I would like to add muscle weight back after the fat is gone. Any one have any ideas if I am thinking correctly about too much too fast?

You are doing awesome !!! Keep up the good work. Once you can start weight training, it will be important to increase your protein intake to repair after a good, strenuous workout because the low volume of food that you can eat now won't give you enuff to the good stuff. Weight training is always a positive activity. Remember, HYDRATE HYDRATE HYDRATE, many post op sleevers find it difficult to physically get enuff water into their body by only taking sips at time. Start off slowly, have fun burning off that butter.

I did the surgery for type 2 diabetes and high bp. I originaly wanted to lose 55 but judging on how i look now i would be nothing but bones at 200. It worked for my diabetes and bp so all was successful on all fronts. I can now permanently control my weight (roller coster before) and stay off all meds that had side effects that were not fun. I did not have to worry about insurance because they would not pay for any reason so I was on my own. I hope that clears up the confusion.

I get these type of comments all the time too! I too didn't have as much weight as many people who opt for this surgery. However, being only 4'10" tall my BMI was out of control and I was on more medicines than most senior citizens! I take only three of the 12 that I was taking before my surgery and my fibromyalgia is no longer giving me issues! Good for you! Keep up the good work. Weight training is awesome! It helps build lean muscle mass and helps with weight loss as well...just be sure to feed your muscles some protein within 45 mins of working out.

I was trying to be nice and asked in a gentle way. Normally if a person has only 50 lbs. to lose they won't do the dang surgery! Sorry if I offended your or anyone else, but I was just confused!
