Hello my name is Trina and I had my gastric sleeve done on 12/17/212 and since then I have been in the hospital for not being able to keep food down do to Gastro esophageal reflux. My mouth is always filled with Saliva and I find myself having to spit continually. I just need help; the doctors just keep telling me I'll get better. Scared to eat and drink anyone else been through that can help me.

Are you taking anything for acid reflux? I was going throigh the samething in the begining i couldnt keep anything down and acid bulid up so my doctor put me on Nexium and nausea medicine. It does get better i no longer take the medicine for nausea but i still take the nexium but i really dont have to take it everyday. Hope u feel better

Oh my bless your heart. I am saying a prayer for you! I only got the reflux right at first but threw up for the first four days. You should be passed most of that but if you have GERD you will need to take meds for that...Pepsid Complete in chewable form is what I had to take. When you start to lose your weight the GERD will stop. Take it slow, just keep spitting...I used to get that if I put too much in my stomach but it went away. I think that is my problem now, I need that back! You will be fine.....

I got that after surgery also.. But, mine quit after a few days to a week. I take Omeprazole SA 20mg capsules. My Dr ordered them for me. It was so bad that I had to sleep with a washrag in my mouth at night I hope you get it figured out!

I did for awhile I had to take reflux medicine for the first 3 months per my physician. It takes a while for your tummy to realize its not as big and to stop giving so much acid to get rid of the food
