I have been so thankful for all of the support that I have received here since my surgery in June. I have had such wonderful advice and positive attitudes through this journey. I am still so very thankful that I went through this surgery.
BUT that being said, my life has radically changed (and very quickly! ) 2 weeks ago I was diagnosed with stage 4 uterine cancer that has matasticized (sp) to the liver and something called the Mary Joseph nodule (where I have a tumor the size of a small grapefruit) It has been a whirlwind of emotions and learning all new things.
I will be starting chemo on Dec 28 with the hope that the tumors will STOP growing....then after round 6 and a few weeks to recover, the surgeon may be able to cut some of it out (debulk) I have had tremendous weight loss but it is is NOT all attributed to the surgery and at this point I need to work very hard to keep any foods/liquids in.
The sleeve did NOT put any of this into motion. All steps of this new journey have made sense with what was happening in my life at that moment. It all started with a really aggressive period in August (which my WLS surgeon had said may happen, estrogen push after radical weight loss). My pcp did my well women check and it all just flew by after that.....
What I would LOVE to have ALL women on the forum learn from me.....if there is something different with your cycle (before or AFTER wls) get yourself in and get it checked out ! Don't wait! And please do better than I did about your ANNUAL check ups.
I am joining a completely different online support group now. And I wanted you all to know how much I have been enriched through your sharing and getting to know about your journey as I have gone through my own.
