As I recall it was when I was eating fish, tiny pieces of chicken, egg, soups, cooked non-fibrous veggies. I also started having salads which I tolerated really well, no hard veggies but the lettuce, cottage cheese or shredded cheese was easy to eat. I was also dabbling with chili but stay away from anything too spicy since you can't drink while eating. I remember having a few bites of fire chili and desperation for a drink so I stay away from it now.

You are going to have to try and miss because everyone is different but I noticed that I have a very hard time with beef in my stomach even though I love it and it taste good it doesn't feel good in my stomach. Chicken is easier, lobster tail for me was a good light little starter protein also Tuna fish. I also ate a lot of whole pinto beans because it felt fine in my stomach was filling and is a good source of protein. I always take one good bite, chew it really well and wait like five to ten minutes before you go on. If something doesn't feel good then try something else. If you find something that doesn't set right it still doesn't mean you wont be able to have it ever again, it may just mean your stomach wasn't ready for it yet.

by week five you can try all healthy foods. You have to experiment to see what you tolerate. most people have about a 850 calorie max for intake guidelines. you divide that up the way that works best for you. a lot of people no longer take protein supplements in the form of drinks by week five, and many nutritionists prefer calories to be eaten not drank.

Depends on your surgeon. I was still on pureed foods at week 5. If you're a "by the book" sort of person, follow the guide your surgeon gave you; I'm sure it must have given you some idea about what happens at week 5. If it didn't - ring and ask them. On here you'll get many different responses as surgeons give widely varying advice.
