    Default Cry like a baby

Has anyone else experienced bouts of crying? I feel so emotional now. I'm not depressed, I just start crying. We got off the plane the other night and I seen everyone hugging their loved ones. I don't know if it's the season or what? Or from surgery?? I feel like a big baby

I read somewhere else on here that fat cells store estrogen and as you lose weight rapidly that estrogen gets released and can cause you to be more emotional and have mood swings.

OMG Sandi! I have been crying everyday! I don't even know what about most of the time. I think its just been such a long journey and one part of its finally over. I'm feeling a little overwhelmed about not getting enough fluids, am I eating slow enough, timing the eating and drinking so i'm not doing them at the same time, taking all my vitamins, ect.. I cry watching a movie, commercials, whatever! Today the UPS guy delivered a present next door and the little boy was so excited! He said mommy, its a present its a present! I was laughing bc it was so sweet but then started crying! I'm tearing up now thinking about it! lol I'm a mess, I'm sure it will pass!

I cry like crazy!! I didn't realize it until about 2 weeks ago and when I thought about it I had been crying several times a day for weeks. Not necessarily sad cries in fact mostly happy. Good luck!

I for sure have cried more since surgery and I don't cry that often normally. I had my feet in the hot tub of the TJ Marriott and just started bawling. It wasn't pretty. I know we can get on with our lives pretty quickly after this surgery, but inside our heart, brain and soul we know that life has changed much more than we'd like to admit. Even 3 weeks out I cried this week for a very nominal reason. I'm definitely not depressed either, just have the tears.

Your body is going thru major changes and your hormones are all out wack. Having a good cry can be very therapeutic. I could use a good cry myself.

My trusty German Shephard, Kodey, that I had for 14 years, I had to put to sleep on 12/17 (my father's 86th birthday)...I had the ugly cry. It was similar when my mum died. I realized Kodey was born 12/08/1998 the same date my mum died, and Kodey died on my father's birthday, 12/17. Yeah...I guess I can say December is an emotional month. This will pass for all of us and get better!

Jen, I'm really sorry to hear about Kodey. {{{{HUGS}}}} I lost my 5 month old son about 12 years ago. His birthday is December 13 so December is an emotional month for me typically too! I thought the surgery would be a distraction...I guess I wasn't able to avoid the crying spells this month!

I had a few since I've been home. I didn't think it may have been because of the sleeve. I thought I was just being me lol. I hope you are feeling better now.

Nothing wrong with emotion, you know?
Holding a lot of emotions inside with food was what we did for a lifetime. Sometimes those feelings just gotta come out, I reckon.
Little boy with the present, emotional movies, it's all good.

Well said .....we stuff/ stifle our emotions with food, that's part of how we get here ...burying emotions, replacing them with food, crying with food, celebrating with food, raging with food....we lose sight of the real emotions using food to self medicate.
Let it rain tears!!!.....feel them...in fact take the time to experience and let yourself feel every emotion, recognize them, give them voice, definitely important steps on a successful journey.
.........and suddenly, you just know, it's time to start something new and trust the magic of beginnings!!
