Try mixing some jelly or peanut butter into vanilla yogurt - no chunky fruit and just that extra little yum taste.
The Unjury Chicken Flavor Soup is pretty good. 21 Grams of protein per serving. It tastes a lot like cup of noodles without all the noodles in it.
Glad to read about the unflavored whey protein powder. I am going to GNC now. My husband had the surgery on the 19th and is just not getting enough protein. I thought he Atkins Advantage low sugar and carbs would do it. He just can't drink enough to get enough. He's weak, drained and I'm really worried. He already went back in the hospital because of dizziness, weakness and losing too much blood from his drains. Now back home and doing the same. They said something about an eggnog recipe with egg beaters, but I can't find it. Do any of you drink this? Otherwise I guess I will start adding the protein powder to soups, crystal light drinks, what else......yogart, cottage cheese? He supposed to be full liquids until tomorrow (would be 2 weeks). I'm really scared.
Flat Diet A&W with vanilla protein powder would be great too and no caffeine! Thanks for the tip!

"Do not take the advice of those old sages and wait until you can "walk confidently in the direction of your dreams". If you do, you'll never take the first step. Instead, leap and learn to fly on the way down, (And for heaven's sake, don't wait until you lose ten pounds!). Now is the time to jump in with both feet...arms flailing, hair flying, and screaming at the top of your lungs, "I CAN DO THIS!" You don't have to believe it...you just have to do it. You have to experiment with the amount your sleeve can handle at one time. I'm 4 weeks out and still sipping constantly. If I take a big gulp, my sleeve lets me know with a little nausea.
Everyone is different, just take it slow.

The Metabolic Research Center has great products: protein get packs you can easily add to bottled water on the go, high protein broths, shakes, puddings, etc. They taste great and when you are completely off sugar, they taste almost too sweet. But they are all carb free.
I have a whole calendar for 2013 with at least one a month. I found her calendars last year at a car wash gift shop and fell in love with her wit, wisdom and sense of humour.
Here's another one from January and I think it's appropriate for all of us who have gone through, are going through or are scheduled to go through WLS:
Life Is All About How You Handle Plan B
Plan A is always my first choice. You know, the one where everything works out to be "happily ever after". But more often than not, I find myself dealing with the upside-down, inside-out version where nothing goes as it should. It's at this point the real test of my character comes in...Do I sink or do I swim? Do I wallow in self-pity and play the victim or simply shift gears and make the best of the situation? The choice is mine. After all...life is all about how you handle Plan B. Suzy Toronto 2013 Calendar "Life Is All About How You Handle Plan B"

I found a new protein drink. (I dont know if anyone has posted this one)
Its called New Whey Liquid Protein. I like it because I am SO tired of the milky protein drinks, AND its only 3.8oz!!! which makes it easier to consume for us sleevers!!!
42 grams of protein. 0 fat 0 sugar 2 carbs. Gluten, lactose, and caffeine free!
There are 6 flavors and its a tad bit syrupy. I mix about an ounce of icy water with it to cut that. But its way easier to drink than the big 8-12 ounces of a protein shake.
I also use it to make Jell-o!
