Hello! Just wondering if anyone lost weight without working out but eating between 600-800 calories a day with the sleeve.
I haven't done one bit of working out in 5 months. 175 to 107 - size 18 to a 2. Honestly I couldn't walk the whole grocery store when I took a friend to do his shopping without getting winded and exhausted so I don't see how anyone works out but i know others do. I never was a big workout person except when I was younger anyway. Don't have too bad of saggy skin either actually.
I "think" I took two walks since my sleeve.
I haven't exercised a day, or even counted calories since my sleeve, and I am down 33lbs. I do try to make better food choices, but I did a 2 week drive across the country where we ate out at every meal. I hear that your lose with start to slow at like 2 to 2.5 months out and that is when you have to check yourself and put forth a little more effort.
I do water aerobics 5 days a week and yoga 2 times a week. My joints aren't achy and strong abs for very little back pain and I enjoy the new friendships made. I HATED exercise but I found something I enjoy and is good for me. But I use the health fitness app for foods and do 1200 calories a day and with the exercise I get an extra 340 calories a day which I may or may not use. I lose 2 to 3 lbs a week when I work the program. Using the fitness app is a real eye opener for me to see the value breakdown of foods I eat.
I have not worked out. I have walked a couple of times, but I really haven't done much so far. I'm glad you asked this because I was wondering the same thing. I know I would benefit from exercise, I just have to do it. I've never been a big fan. It always seems I can find other things that I just "need" to do instead.....lol
i signed up at curves, ive gone three times in two months. ive walked on my treadmill a few times but for no more than 15 minutes. My weight could come off a lot faster i'm sure, if i actually excercised hard...but its moving. one thing that has changed, i can walk all over the mall, all over the stores, even all over manhattan and i don't need to sit down every five minutes.

My surgeon explained to me that I would lose weight if I did not exercise (because of the sleeve and its properties). However, in order to maintain the weight loss (over time, looking at 2-5 years out) and to prevent several lengthy plateaus that I would need to incorporate exercise. He also told me that I needed to incorporate several types of exercise, exercises that are designed for fat burning (weight loss) and exercises that are for cardiac health. Because he is the one with the medical degree I think I am going to follow his advice. So far...so good

Wow, I am so envious of you all that can achieve great results without exercise. Me, not so lucky, I have to workout almost everyday, I work with a personal trainer for strength training and then I do 30-60 mins a day of cardio. I do love it but know for me I have never been able to lose and maintain a loss without it. Good luck to all!
Theirs been a week that I didn't walk much or workout I think I lost 3 lbs. I'm a little worried bc I'm getting muscles lol and they weight more than fat. Will see what happens. And for those with great result please gives us tips ha ha. A friend of mine has only lost 26lbs in almost 3 months well with hardly working out, hey know that I'm thinking about it is not to bad.
I lost 38 lbs with no exercise the first 4 months MY WEIGHT LOSS WAS WELL BEHIND others who had been working out. You can go about 4 months but to lose weight will be hard without working out. I started to workout for a week then I dropped about a pound a day. So the working out does help. I am still trying to catch up to those who had surgery around the same time as me.
