need to have some tests done, what should I tel them?

I have been having some problems with pain in my lower abdomen. they want to do a colonoscopy, do I need to tell them anything about my sleeve surgery? the dr knows but where they are sending me doesn't. has anyone had a colonoscopy done after surgery? and did you have any problems?

Why wouldn't you tell them? It's medical information related to your gastrointestinal tract, and they are bound by confidentiality.

Of course you should tell them always disclose your medical info to a healthcare professional!!!!!!! This is realivent to your procedure your having done!!!!!!!

The colonoscopy will not effect or be effected by the sleeve. So there is nothing to worry about there. But of course it wouldn't hurt to mention it to personel at the colonoscopy. I have had a colonoscopy after have 2 previous intestinal surgeries but still different areas, no problems.

I was more concerned about getting down the stuff you have to drink, not to sure if I can get it all down, all I still can drink is about 6-8 oz. I know that the colonoscopy has nothing to do with the stomach, but just was curious about others having this done, if there were any problems associated with this procedure. I didn't have my ins. cover the procedure, I did self pay, but I do plan to tell them about it. thanks everyone!

This was a great question, I just had my second colonoscopy in September and don't have to have another for ten years!!!!! Yeah, but I didn't to well with the prep this time out, I am hoping for something new for the next time. I hate drinking that stuff!!!!
