How's everybody else's weight loss going? Am I losing fast, slow, or average? Thanks for all your comments!
Lacey, the best thing is not to compare yourself to others. Weight loss rate depends on so many factors - age, gender, starting weight etc etc - so you are rocking your sleeve at your rate. Sounds like you are doing really well.
You're doing FANTASTIC!! Hope you're feeling well too
YES!!! You are rockin' that sleeve!!! So happy for you!!!!
Now, maybe you'll finally post a photo can I can get to know my sleeve sister?
Love and hugs!

That means you are losing about 12 pounds a month. Looks good to me! My surgeon said to expect to lose between 5-12 pounds a month from months 4-12. I am just over 3 months and I am 56 pounds lighter so it is not shocking to me that I have been in a stall for over a week. My body is playing catch-up. Wishing you continued success!
Heaviest: 387 pounds (1999)
Weight last appointment prior to surgery: 265 (6/29/12)

100 pounds lost 7/3/13
Reached goal weight of 160 pounds on 9/9/13 (1 year, 1 month, and 1 day post-op)
You cant compare pounds, if you want to compare it should be more like percentage of excess weight loss. Sounds to me like you are doing great!

Hi there! Congrats on your weight loss and progress. For me I'm very happy with where I am and where my weight loss has taken me. I didn't have any pre surgery diet or nutritional program to follow so all of my weight loss has been post surgery. I am a few weeks over 6 months after surgery and as of this am down 73 lbs even. For me that is totally awesome. I have lost pretty steadily, not at a fast pace after that first month, with really only one big stall a few weeks after surgery, as everyone does. I don't drop pounds at one time. For me it's a few ounces each day or half a pound, and slowly but surely by the end of the last few months have lost between 8-9.5 lbs. I expect it to slow down soon as I'm getting nearer my initial goal of 100 lbs to lose. We'll see what happens.
The surgeon told us at support group that some lose quite alot of weight initially and stall off and on, some lose pretty steadily like myself, but no matter what...all of us, at the end of a year are pretty much all in the same place. If we just live each day and go about our business, the weight comes off. It's not easy to compare ourselves to others and we all, especially during those first few months want enormous amounts of weight off our bodies as quickly as possible.
Good luck to all and see you at your personal goal lines!
Starting weight is a huge factor. I would say those numbers are better than most if you are keeping a good muscle ratio and getting in the protein. Many dumb down the weight loss to numbers when its more based on body compositions. The larger people dropping huge numbers seem to fall victim to this thinking. That said keep it up and great job!
