Well the funny thing is that I have been less strict on my diet lately, letting myself snack here and there on bad stuff, and my weight loss has picked up!

I have heard that for some people that works. Where one day they will carb it up and then go back to their stricter diet and BAM the scale moves down! I am just too afraid that I would be prone to resume my binging behaviors if I attempted to dip into the dark side again..haha

As we have had the sleeve, we are not so much on a diet as we are now just eating less. There is room for occasional treats and I want this from the sleeve. If I want something special, I can have a taste of it and not feel guilty. I NEVER want to feel guilty again!! I had a weekend away with my husband and ate and drank all sorts of wonderful things. I was scared toget on the scale the following week, but I had lost another 2 lbs. We just can't eat naughty things too often, but I will, when I can, on occasion, without guilt!!!
Geez there are more donuts in there! The temptation!!!!!!!!!! lol

The important thing is to not let the little indiscretions become an excuse for full-blown failure.
You fall of the wagon for a moment & get back on. No real harm done, but if one thinks while one is off the wagon that one should go ahead and stay off for a while because it is so good, that's when one gets into trouble because you find the wagon has left you behind and it takes a lot of work to get back onto it.
I am speaking from experience. I know how one can greatly slow down one's progress by slacking off too much.
So to sum up, a little indiscretion here and there, no big deal. It can even be a good thing, as you've found out, but letting an indiscretion be an excuse to go into full failure mode is not good and harmful.
Great advice David! Thanks!
So can I chew them up and spit them out??? LOL..

Just to be very careful when you decide to go off the plan and eat sweets, like donuts. A few months ago there were dark chocolate covered pecans in my house and I found myself going back again and again to eat these. They became very addictive. Over the course of several weeks I went and purchased more and more of them deliberately. It was only after speaking to my therapist that I realized that I had this sugar high going. I told my husband that we should not have these in our house because they are such temptation. He agreed with me and was very good about the situation. But after I stopped eating them, I had several days of, I guess you could call it, withdrawal symptoms before I was back to eating normally on my regular plan. What's strange about all of this is that I've never been a person who wanted to eat a lot of sweets, I was always for the potato chips, bread, pasta - that kind of stuff. Now I have very little interest for the potato chips, bread, and pasta. But I do find I have to watch out for the sweets now. So please be very cautious when you decide to go off your plan because you don't want to get hooked for an extended period of time and regain weight.
