Default 8 wks. post op tomorrow

    Hello everyone,
It will be 8wks. tomorrow since my sleeve. I am down 35 lbs but I haven't lost in about a week. Getting a lil upset. Drinking the water but I'm having a rough time with enough protein. Does anyone have suggestions? ....and the window of opportunity to lose is when? My doc says anything before the 3rd month is a bonus so does the rapid weight loss begin the 3rd month or is everybody a lil different?

I had a 3 week stall at about 6 weeks. I've just started losing again and it's like 1-1.5 pounds a day. I tried really hard not to get worried when I wasn't losing. I could tell I was losing inches, though. So that helped. Don't give up.

As far as protein goes, I have discovered a couple of brands of Greek yogurt I like. It has twice the protein of regular yogurt. And there are lots of flavors for variety.

Hi, 35lbs is a lot congrats on that. Wondering how you menu is perhaps you can change that. I'm 7 weeks out my doctor still advice me to have a protein shake so I decided to drink premier protein bought it at SAMs has 30g of protein. Then 3 hrs later I have some activia or Greek yougourt. For luch I usually have fish easier to swallow or chicken cut in small pieces. Dinner depends I also love lentils they are Rich in iron and protein. Good luck let me know if you would like some fish recepies send me a message.

I will be 8 weeks tomorrow and I am right around the same point as you. I have lost 36. It is frustrating when you see so many people lose 20-30 pounds in the first couple months. I have to focus on the fact that I am still losing which is better than I would be doing pre-surgery. I am really trying to up my exercise to try to help out.

Congrats on the weight loss....my moto is everything in moderation....one thing is for sure it took time to become overweight......therefore it will take time to lose the weight....dont expect to much too soon....your body (as well as all of us) was use to being overweight so now the new adjustments will be something for it to get use too, as the old saying goes" Rome wasn't built in one day" stay strong, encouraged and most of all Blessed for you have a second chance at a new and improved life.....Blessings

I think I am a "slow loser" I had surgery on 10/1 and I am 26lbs down. But when i break that down by week that is alot! That is including my 10lbs preop iet loss. I loss most of thar the dirt 2 weeks and 3.5lbs in the last week. I keep asking myself when will the losses be most consistent. I try not to compare myself to others. The weight has to come off. I just figure my body is slower in figuring it all out. But I will not deny it s frustrating, because it is like my mind plays tricks on me because I am eating so little!

    Start Weight - 266.6lbs
    Month 1- 22.4
    Month 2 - 6.6

    Month 6 - 4.2
    Month 7 - 0
