What soothes the stomach after throwing up?

Decided to have some shredded curry chicken. Not a power move! Any suggestions on how to put out the fire thats left in my stomach?

I think I'm just gonna stick to applesauce, pudding, jello, protein shakes and tuna for the next week. :-(

Sorry to hear your tummy is inflammed. I think you have the idea to go back to the basics until it feels better! Rest well.

Try some Milk of Magnesia, it soothes the stomach

2 weeks out and you had curry? yikes! I couldn't imagine that pain. I didn't try curry for months!

I'd suggest tums I guess. Also, stick to your doc's post-op dietary instructions and you should be fine

Two weeks out of surgery?! You should take it easy on the foods you eat. I thought soft or purée foods are what you're supposed to be eating right now? You don't want to keep hurting your healing stomach :/ I can't imagine the pain you must feel

I am 7 months out and still can't do curry, it passes right through me with a vengeance! I got food poisoning a few weeks ago and had to go back to fluids for a couple of days because my stomach hurt so badly from violent vomitting. Good luck.

Sorry you had to learn that lesson, but some of us are slow learners. That is why I love to read this forum. I'm hoping I can learn from others mistakes so I wont have to go thru the pain you must be feeling. Some cold milk might help put out the fire. Hope you feel better soon.

Two weeks post op and eating chicken? I wasn't even allowed to have an egg at that point...I guess doctors have different opinions regarding diets. Good luck with your weight loss.

We should be at the same stage right now, puréed. I know I've said it before but why get ahead of yourself? I can barely handle a few spoons of puréed stuff at each meal, but I haven't thrown up. Take care of your sleeve so it'll take care of you. If not what was the point of going through all this trouble?
