The point of this forum is for people to share their experiences good, bad or indifferent. You said that you left this thread because it annoyed you so much. My question is why are you back? I suspect you missed the spotlight to "come out swinging" like the tough biker chick you tell us you are. Guess what? No one is either scared or impressed by these tactics. I find your hyper-defensiveness, bad manners, and your posturing sad. Really tough people don't have to act this way. I know, I work with many of the bravest at the Fire Department where I am an EMT.

everyone heals differently, resonds differently and really can't be compared with anyone else, the only thing you can do is read all the info and decide for yourself how your going to respond to your sleeve, though im almost 6 months out, every once in a while i still question my choice to have surgery, but i maintain that i have done what was physically the best thing for me, i didn't have any post op problems,my only problem STILL is wanting to eat everythig in sight, but this was my choice to do and i personally have embraced my sleeve with open arms and do what was right for me. i am no longer diabetic, i've lost 30kgs and i feel great. gl to everyone

WOW! I am really shocked to see some of the posts on this topic! None of us can say who should or should not have surgery except perhaps our doctors. Now with that being said it is human nature to sometimes make snap judgements.....doesn't mean we need to put our 2 cents in if it is not a kind opinion.
Now for the OP of this thread- I am just over 6 months put and cannot say that I haver ever felt a single second of regret because I have not. However I was one of the blessed ones who never had a single complication. Yes sometimes my weight loss is a little slower than others that I have seen, but I am in this for the long haul & hopefully my skin will have a little more time to adjust. As for the eating part, it will get better I promise!

It is hard and at times I think we have all wondered what have I done but in the long run we all seem to be happy. I remember my first month I would go to sleep with my kids at 8:30 p.m. sleep till 7:30 a.m. get the kids off to school clean up the house and my self till about 10 am then I would nap until the kids came home from school at 3:30 and some days I would need a quick nap after I made everyone dinner. I was a mess I was tired and cranky and I didn't want to do anything but now 7 whole months latter I am so happy so energetic I wouldn't dream of taking a nap or watching tv there is so much more I can do. For me life is much better post surgery! And I am sure if you give yourself time to heal and adapt you to will begin to love it.
