    Default Post Op Pain Meds

I am curious what pain meds you used at home following surgery. I see liquid Tylenol has been pulled off the market. Do they make a chewable adult Tylenol? I know my hospital will send me home with a prescribed pain med, but I am wanting to know about non prescription OTC meds for pain management.

I took hydrocodone the first night I came home (two days post-op) and that was it...no more pain meds after that.

I had the liquid vicodin that I took at night for a couple days to sleep, but during the day, I just cut tylenol in half and swallowed those. Wasn't easy, but I managed.

I had virtually no pain besides the gas. Those go away with walking, burping and farting. Taps on the back help too. Walking is supposed to be the best. Tylenol comes in capsules too. Those can opened although they are softer than pills and I had no problem swallowing them.

Liquid Tylenol might be gone but the CVS brand of it has not and that is the only thing I used for two days...

Buy Tylenol Sore Throat in the cold/flu section. It is extra strength liquid Tylenol. No other ingredients. It works well.
