    Unhappy Blood in toilet

Just wondering if anyone has noticed changes in their bowel habits with blood present. I realize that changes would of course happen with a change in diet eg. things moving quicker when having liquids / purees. I noticed last night that I had a lot of abdominal pain and had some bleeding when I went to the toilet. I am thinking that maybe I am just dehydrated and that may be why. My other thoughts are that it may be old blood from the surgery. Does anyone else have any thoughts or has experienced anything like this.

It's probably as you say, dehydration and some sort of tearing but if it continues, I'd call the doc as well.
First, get as much liquid down as you can. Warm is good.
Generally if it's bright red and in the water, it's a fissure of some kind but if the "poop" itself is black, red streaked, full of mucus, or like coffee grounds there's trouble.
Maybe some milk of magnesia for a couple of days - even a Tblsp a day will help soften things up.
Best NSV - fitting on a kid's amusement park ride with my 4 yr old grandson!
CFIDS =Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) Also dx with post-bariatric reactive hypoglycemia; and chronic gastritis (both sleeve complications). Permanently disabled.
Start weight 335, down to 218, up during gastritis. Have accepted there is no way to lose it with my hypoglycemia. Current weight 260. Currently doing 10 day sleeve reset and determined to get back down to my post surgical weight or close to it.

I found it difficult to poop for the first few days and found myself straining to push. If you had the same issue you could've just burst a little blood vessel. But just to be safe I'd give the surgeon a call and run it by them.

Possibly hemhroids? If you suffered from constipation this is very likely. Still to be on the safe side it wouldn't hurt to call your dr.

Considering how long it has been since your surgery, please call your doctor.... That is NOT common...

Call the doctor. Any blood in the urine/stool is a bad sign.
I have hemmorids, don't have any blood in the urine/stool. Just bleeding in that area from time to time.

If you have had very bad diarrhea it could be an irritated colon and will heal it's self. But I would not take any chances. Call your doctor. Better to be safe they sorry.
