    Default already hit a plateu?

Hi all, I am 17 days out from surgery and have lost a total of 23.5 pounds. However, for the past 5 days, my scale has not budged. I keep bouncing back and forth between 271 and 271.6 pounds. I dont see how I am not losing as I hardly eat anything. I read that quite a few people lose between 25 and 30 pounds their first month, so Im right there but I feel like I should be losing still. Isnt 2 and a half weeks a little early to be hitting the wall? when did you start working out again? Ive still got a bit of pain in my right side.

This is normal.. you will lose for a bit and then stop but if you watch how your clothes are fitting, you will find you are still losing inches... it's like your body is catching up.. then you will start losing again and then stall again... it goes back and forth

My first stall hit earlier than i expected too but it will break i promise, take your measurements today and again about once a month from here out. I've found the times I'm stalled and the scale is causing me grief my measurements are changing enough to offset that in my mind! Do yourself a favor and put the scale away for a week or two, seeing the scale not move day after day is NOT good for your emotionally, i know from experience! I was a daily weigher in the beginning but now i only pull the scale out once a week, if you're doing what you're suppose to the weight will come off regardless of how closely you're watching those numbers move!! Congratualtions on your surgery and your loss so far

No, not at all - most people seem to have their first stall between 2-3 weeks - usually lasts a week or 2. Nothing to worry about at this point. Just keep following your plan - protein, water, and walking. Good luck!!
