Looking for unflavored protein powder

Any one have any suggestions on a good unflavored protein powder that you are using and you love? My surgery is Nov 19, 2012 and I am geting everything ready. Would like to obtain my protein powder so I can be sure I get all my protein in daily. What about juices, like V8 fusion or any other suggestions you may have?

I used the GNC brand of unflavored protein mixed in soups or with almond milk. I stay away from all juices due to the high sugar and calorie content . All the best to you as you embark on the greatest adventure of your life!

I am having the same surgeon as you did. Several co workers have gone to Dr. Almanza with Fabulous results. Thanks for the suggestion of the GNC unflavored protein and the recommendation regarding the fruit juice. V8 makes one that does not have many calories and is vegetable (beet or carrot) based.

I am trying to get everything I need gathered up before I start the liquid pre op diet.

I use UNJURY unflavored protein mix. Can order off line. I mix with water and sf crystal light or sf hiawiaan punch i like the green flavor the best with it. I also bought the UNJURY chicken flavored mix and it was my chicken broth that i could eat/drink after surgery. with one scoop you get 22gms of protein. Good luck to you and keep us updated.

Unjury online is cheaper than buying it at GNC. Look for coupon codes online also to enter when ordering. That's the one I use, but also know that Jay Robb makes one that people like.

A friend put me on to beveri (whet protein supplement) - I buy it in my local store's health food section - per scoop = 110 calories, 0g fat, 1g carbs, 26g protein, 129mg calcium - It really is flavorless. The also sell a vanilla flavored version which I have not tried.
Also, strobgly suggest trying greek yoghurt - Great source of protein (they are not all the same, so read the labels) - I tend to buy the plain ones and add pureed fruit

Couple notes: When it comes to fruit juice (my husband was a plant manger producing it), Store brand is the same as name brand, just a label change. Also for Greek Yogurt, try putting a tad of sugar free jello in it to flavor it, not bad. There are also the squeeze packets of chicken & beef broth that can enhance the flavor of your flavorless protein items (use sparingly). My daughter-in-law has been using this site for 6 years (since her surgery) for her protein powders, so if you find something check them out - I understand their customer service is excellent allstarhealth.com

NOW Foods brand whey protein isolate powder is extremely comparable to Unjury. You also get more of it for about the same price. I've ordered it on Amazon, but there are many other places online you can order it too. It's straight up pure whey protein powder -- no additional vitamins or anything like that added.

I use GNC unflavored protein powder, also you can get some really good ideas from vitacost.com they sell a lot of items including unflavored protein powders and at a great price! also unjury chicken broth is very very good!

That's so great that you have the support of your co-workers and have others that have used Dr Almanza. He truly is one of the best in the world. I did the liquid pre-op for 3 days and lived on soup and shakes and herbal tea.. Goes by fast and I didn't really feel hungry. I started on the protein shakes about a week before to boost up my system (and to find flavours I would like). I am sure you are getting tons of tips from your friends at work, so I won't bombard you.. BUT, if you ever have a question that you are uncomfortable asking someone you know, I am just an email message away! Thanks for the congrats, I do feel much better, I am almost at my 50% mark to my first goal and its just been 2 months.

I have tried several, and I received my Unjury order today and I am VERY thrilled! The Chicken Soup flavor is great, as is the Chocolate Splendor. I still have the vanilla and the unflavored to try yet. they are both powdered, and it it easier to mix the chocolate in a "blender ball" glass. All of those I ordered online. In the pre-mixed my two favorites are Premier Protein from Sams Club, and the Lean Protein drink from GNC.

My surgery is on Tuesday. I have my baby spoons and bought my "magic bullet" to turn all of my food to mush. I think I am ready!

My vote goes to Syntrax Unflavored medical. It's cheap and pretty good! 40 calories per scoop equaling 10 gms of protein so it is ALL protein in that scoop. I use subscribe and save on Amazon.
