It will take time for your mind to adjust to the new normal. It is a far better "normal" than what we did before. Go easy on yourself. It is a journey that you will be glad you took. But I would encourage you to find another "habit" to replace food. Good luck!

Passed personel goal weight of 135 in 9 months! Wow!

Give it another week and you will start to feel better and more excited about your surgery....especially once you start seeing the lbs. fall off. I too had these same exact feelings at the same exact time post-op. Good luck!

I am 10 days post op and I definitely know how you feel. Your post really helped me tonite. First, its good to know that I'm not the only one going through these feelings and secondly, all the encouragement and hope from those who have already been there is ver reassuring. I agree that once we graduate to eating normal foods it's going to be much easier. Good luck to you! We can do this

To steal a saying from someone on another site, Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels. You will be eating somewhat normal, but your normal is a new normal. You don't need a whole hamburger when a few bites will do. Have you ever seen a model eat a cookie? They really do eat them, but they eat one cookie and just take little bites of it and savor that cookie till it is gone. This is how we need to be. We eat slower and enjoy every bite. It is all in how you look at the food and how you look at yourself. You can do it, it just takes some retraining in your mind. Life is to enjoy and if you were my daughter I would tell you life is a dance, you need to find yourself and dance. Good luck! We are all here for you.
