    Default Sleeved Ladies.....

What did you wear in the hospital? I'm wondering if I should do night gowns or sleep pants and a large tshirt. Any advice would be appreciated!

    Thanks!

I didn't even bring anything. I was barely awake long enough for it to matter though. The nurses did end up draping one gown over my front and one over the back however, when I walked myself to the bathroom and went down for my leak test.

i wore a hospital gown while in the hospital...then we were moved to a hotel for recovery...I wore loose fitting pants and a comfy shirt...The incisions are much higher than I thought...so pants do not interfere at all...I am 7 weeks post op now and feel amazing!

Like everyone else, i wore the lovely hospital gown during my stay, i did use the robe i took so i didn't flash everyone on my walks. I went into the hospital that day in loose sweatpants, a baggy tee-shirt and sports bra and wore the same thing home. Good luck Tuesday!!!

I brought stuff to wear but I didn't even use them. All I did was wear the gowns the hospital provided and definitely put my own underwear on! I can't stand being in public with out undies... Especially when the docs came in every few hours wanting me to lift my gown so they could see my scars... Heh...

I changed into my nightgown when I was able to and had my robe for when I walked. I thought it would make me feel better and I felt great.

I was in hospital for longer (4 nights) and had a drain in, so I took a nightgown and wore loose cotton knickers. The drain got pinned to my nightgown. I was glad not to have anything with a waistband. Had a robe to wear over the top when I went for walks.

I just wore the gown, I was only there one night and the day after surgery when I did my walking they gave me a robe to cover. I was right next to the bathroom door so I didn't care if I flashed the wall.

The morning after surgery they take you to the xray have you take a sip of contrast and xray you after its down. It's to mke sure there are now leaks in the pouch at the stable line! Nasty stuff, but once you are clear, they send you a tray of sugar free drink and popsicles (clear liquids). YEAH! You won't be able to drink once you are out of surgery until you take this test. FYI............I asked for a pitcher of water and rinsed my mouth every so often after I came out of surgery, going under gives you cotton mouth bad. I also stayed away from the morphine and asked for a light pain killer, I'm a big wimp when it comes to pain killers, they make me sick, and morphine is the WORST for me!
