Default Puree Foods is not the greatest for me!

Does anyone have any puree food items that work for them. I really just do not like the puree but, I am making it through it I will be on puree for one more week so I would like to know more options. I am also trying to get my protein requirement met but, I have trouble drinking them like I did before surgery. Enjoying everything else!! I went back to work this week and I think I did to much at work because I have just been so tired after work. I need to slow down and get some rest.

I enjoyed egg salad, chicken salad, but I didnt really like a ton of pureed foods. Wendy's chili was good but dont look at it, just puree it and eat it. It looks gross pureed lol

My Doc said no need to puree if you want you can eat the low fat yougurt no fruit and low fat cottage cheese. It will be less work for you and you get your protein in . I hope this helps !

Also, the Campbell's Gardenay soups are nice. I eat about 1/2 teacup at a time.

Other things I eat that haven't already been mentioned are Laughing Cow cheese, greek yogurt, scrambled egg, and tilapia.

I did my puree-ing in my mouth. I just chewed everything until it was like apple sauce and swallowed it down. I just couldn't handle anything pureed - made me want to vomit something up that looked like what I was trying to eat. LOL

SMILE!! It makes people wonder what you're up to!

I lived on egg drop soup from a Chinese restaurant during the liquid and puree stage. It's so yummy, and the egg white in the soup really gave me energy. Very salty and satisfying! Good luck!

My dietitian/nutritionist said to add protein powder directly to my purees/soups etc, fortify everything with protein so I'm not having to try and top up with shakes for everything.
