    Default 3 months Post Op

So I am just a little over three months post op. With the two week pre op diet and post op diet I have lost right at 90 lbs. There are a lot of things I still could be doing better and things that I have learned. I still need to excersise more and actually starting adding weight lifting in. I think the weight loss would come off more. It appears that the more protein I eat the faster the weight comes off. I very rarley eat any bread because it just makes me hurt for about an hour after and its not worth it. I do not drink any type of soda. One reason because it tastes bad, thats funny. The other reason the carbonation hurts. I also have learned that my taste for food have changed. The things that I use to like are no longer important. I actually went yesterday and only had two protein bars and forgot that I needed to eat more. My life use to focus around food and eating out. It has come to the point know that I hate eating out. It is funny how things happen with a little internal body part removed. So those are my thoughts. I wish everyone the best of luck.
    Jason

Congrats on your weight loss. I am pre-op and gave up soda about 3mnths ago and have no intention of trying them again. I have heard different things about bread but I figure it's something I can keep out of my diet. Eating out is something I enjoy as well so I wonder how I will feel about that. What may I ask is your favorite protein drinks and bars ?

Wow! Great work. I agree about the bread. I was a bread fanatic before my surgery. I've tasted it about four times since my surgery and I am so over it. It is a slightly uncomfortable experience now. Plus, if it isn't protein rich, it's not worth putting in my mouth. Congrats on the great results so far.
