Enraged - need to go away for a bit

I posted a pic (with no head thankfully) of myself on a particular group where I thought it would be ok and appropriate. This morning it shows up as part of another members album, even using my comment. I deleted the pic and hopefully that's that as I've asked mediahound to get rid of the other copy but I put myself out there and I feel as though I've been assaulted.
I need to go away for a while, as this does not feel like a safe place anymore.

Oh Grace, some people just don't have a lick of sense. I'm sorry this happened to you, that you feel violated. It should never have happened, and hopefully Media Hound will not only delete the other pic for you, but will remove the person that did that. Please don't stay gone for long, we need your common sense and your advise on here! You will be missed!! (((HUGS)))

Hmm, I've noticed a member cutting and pasting other's posts and posting them as her own blogs w/out attributing the original author. I wonder if it's the same person. I don't blame you for being outraged.

Who would do something like that? Seriously???? I can definitely see how this would upset you so much... It's such a violation! I hope that you don't let one ignorant and disrespectful person push you out of such a wonderful and supportive community

Hi Grace,

Someone has been reposting several of my forum posts in the past week to their blog and passing them off as their own - they're not just reposting them (like you can with the quotes), they change a word here and there to make it sound like someone who's had the surgery (which I haven't). I pm'ed them about it politely twice, and they removed them yesterday, but today I see they are back on their blog summary, but they've blocked me from accessing the full post. I suspect they think I can't see them at all, but I can see they are there.

I will be asking Media Hound to remove the person from the site given that I have attempted to deal with it, and have been unsuccessful. I'm finding it quite challenging in the week leading up to my surgery. Passing off someone's thoughts/ideas/images/comments as your own is plagiarism/copyright and is illegal. I'm sure the administrators will act once it's brought to their attention.

I had someone take something I had written and put it in their blog without stating where the words came from. I felt like she had stolen my words. What's up with that???? Come on people. Have some ethics!

Grace you have this backwards -THEY need to go, not YOU! Your words of wisdom help many of us on this forum and you are like my 'sleeve mentor.' And I need all the help I can get!!
