My clothes are sloppy big! :)

So, I don't want to go out shopping yet, I have only lost 27 lbs...but my clothes are fitting me sloppy big, and I have to dress nice for work. Sooooo.....I snuck into my daughter's closet, and grabbed a pair of her pants, I feel so bad (who wants to wear the same size as their mom)...I will have to sneak them back as soon as I get home. It does feel kind of good to fit into a size 13-14....JUNIORS that is...

I've got clothes in every size from UK size 12 - 22. I am going to put the nice ones in piles according to size on my bedroom floor and work my way through the whole damn lot on the way down. I have this fear that I'll forget something I've wished I could wear for ages, and then by the time I notice, I will already have lost too much weight (optimistic, me!).

niamh....it isn't just wishful thinking, that is exactly what happened to me. I went through and purged my closet and was picking up pants (for fall) at thrift stores. (about a month ago) Now that it is colder where I live and I need those pants, well,...they are already getting too big. I may get a couple of weeks wear from them before I have to search out more. It feels refreshing to get rid of too big clothing though.

Pants are my biggest problem right now as I have worn elastic waist paints forever and they are so baggy so I will have to look through old (smaller) clothes this week to find pants that fit better. Tops and jackets are much better and I still had some in the back of my closet that were smaller and now fit perfectly so I feel like I have a new wardrobe without spending a new penny. Congrats and enjoy it when you do decide to enter the stores, you've earned it.

I have bought some clothes. I was a size 32 (tight) Avenue and now I am wearing a comfortable size 24 Lane Bryant. I even get some of my clothes in a size 22. My goal was to get into a 20 when I first considered surgery, but it looks like I might surpass that. Im excited and a little scared because I havent been this small for over 10 years.

I do not have to sneak into my daughters clothes, she brings me her stuff that is too big for her..I am so happy to be able to wear a 18..I have not worn that since the year i graduated high school. However i feel your pain on buying clothes because it does not take long for it to become to big on you..lol

I wish my daughter was so giving, these pants are baggy on her, but she keeps losing weight as well, I think she is trying not to be as big as me (she's 16), her pants are all loose on her....but its so hard to keep buying her clothes, well-at least if I buy her new clothes, I will inherate her old ones...which are quite cute.

In my head, and when I look into the mirror...I still see those extra pounds...I feel like I will always be "the fat girl", but its when I am wearing smaller sizes, Its a reality to me...something that can not be denied...so this is a big deal to me...

I went from a tight 26-28 to a 10-12. I bought some outfits for every size, and then gave them to friends from my support group when they got too large. I actually treated myself to an outfit (or 4 at every 10 lbs. I lost. I thought I'd have to declare bankruptcy... Now that it's getting colder, I'll be shopping fo fall/winter clothes. I had my surgery in July last year, and now everything is way too big. I had to buy 2 winter coats last year, and now they hang like a bag. Guess I'll just have to buy more. What's a girl done to do... lol.. Continued success!

I'm down from 52 waist to 46. I only have one pair of 46 pants, but my others are starting to look like clown pants. Pants are so expensive though, I really want to wait for a bit before buying more.

Ya...I think your right DAvid...esp for guys...mens clothes in general are so expensive. I know, I have bought a few tops for myself at Wal mart...don't want to spend too much $.
