depressed!!!!!!

so i'm depressed! I went for my first follow up with my doc and i lost a total of 8.5kg (about 19 pounds). I am three weeks post op. The depressed part comes in here - last week (at 2 weeks post op) i also lost 8.5 kg!! It's been a week and nothing! I spoke with some girlfriends and they lost 18kg and 14kg the first month...i'm not even close. Maybe this won't work for me....Maybe i'm doing something wrong.....i don't know but this sucks!!!! Encouragement and a kick in the butt welcome

Your body is trying to catch up. Its went through a lot and each person is different. Your doing great. Eat your protein first and keep sipping. If your stall keeps up add a little more calories for a day.

I can tell you I'm a slower weightloss person. Don't give up you will lose it. One day you will look back and say wow. It is so worth it. I get depressed when I don't lose too it's normal. I can't do it but some people say for you to get rid of that scale for awhile I have to weigh to keep myself going. I wish you lots of luck.

I have noticed that even if Im snot seeing it on the scale, I see it in my clothes. u may also be losing inches. We've only just begun and I can't believe it won't work for us. A body has to have a certain amt of calories to STAY at the same weight. If you are like me I have NO patience and want to see results quick. Remember this is a lifetime and you are doing good!!

Congratulations, you have hit that first dreaded stall we all hit after surgery about this time. It will last 2-3 weeks and you will be on your way again. Happens to all of us!

Thought I was going to loose my mind when I hit that darn first stall. I took me 3 weeks for it to end, but now I am back on the loosing track. It took me pushing myself to up my calories to 800 to break it. My body thought I was starving!

Hi Yael... I was sleeved the 9th of august... I weighted 105 kgs and now 98... 7 kgs down... I dont fell bad because i'm loosing weight... Maybe your friends were heavier than us... Don't be sad... We are doing great ! And you're not alone... I'm in the same numbers on the scale!

Yep I feel your pain! I stalled at 2 weeks post-op for 2 whole weeks. The scale didn't budge, BUT once it started back I have been averaging 3 pounds a week loss. I am sure another stall is coming up soon, but I will try not to get discouraged because I know it is normal now. Also I lost inches when the scale was not moving so take your measurements!
