riding my bike after surgery

I am almost one week post op. Does anyone know if it is okay to ride my bike?

My doctor said nothing. Its like a 10 min ride to school. Its not really any kind of exercise. I still have a bad cold but I have to o to college

Mine encouraged exercise immediately post op...except for heavy lifting.

I was told no to bike because a fall could damage things. Yes to stationary bike, walking, and that type of exercise though.

My doctor said I would feel better long before the "got" better. A week isn't much healing time. His biggest restriction was no heavy lifting. (Not that I do much heavy lifting anyway.) I would be very careful of the bike riding till your body has had a better chance to heal.
