Why havnt i lost more like so many others here?
Is that cos m only exercising 1-2 times a week or does the food intake effect it too. Someone pls give me a daily plan. I think m losing focus. Dnt want to b a failure halfway thru!!!!
I think you are doing great.... the average loss is 10lbs a month and you have that exceeded right now. We weigh exactly the same right now. Keep in touch and we can compare future loss, but it will depend on how much loss we are looking for... I have a little more than you to lose and started out higher. How tall are you? It's better to try not to compare yourself to others, but i realize that sometimes we can't help it
I think that's great weight loss! I love about 50 lbs in three months, and I lost faster than most people, so I think 38 is excellent. I did work out every single day. And, yes, you have to watch your calories and make sure you're mostly getting them from protein. At this point, I would stick to around 800 cals/day for optimal loss, and up your exercise.
I am right there with you - I started at 172 which is much lower than most people I know - then I lost 32 pounds and I am 7 weeks out. Now NOTHING for the last week and a half! The scale has stayed between 141 and 140 - very frustrating but I know I will start to lose again. I took my first bike ride (750 pound motorcycle) last nite since my surgery and was kind of wobbly and unsure of myself since I have never NOT ridden for nearly 2 months before but when I put my old jeans on that I always rode in before that were skin tight and cutting off my circulation damn near I was shocked that they damn near fell off me so yeah!
I am almost two months out and I have lost 39lbs. I am in a similar boat as you. I keep my calories around 700-800 and make sure I make 60g of protein a day. I have a very active puppy and she keeps me off the couch. I go for walks, jog a little, and starting to hit the gym 2-3 times a week. My goal weight is 125 and i started at 240. My advice is start hitting the gym or get yourself more active. Also start counting. I know it stinks, but you have to see what your intaking. I think your weight loss is on track, but if you want to see more- count away. Just be careful- don't push yourself too much. If you don't take in enough calories, you will feel awful after the gym. And make sure when your done working out- my trainer told me to get some protein in- or else everything you just did at the gym means nothing... I hope I help a little.
I have lost 36 lbs in 3 months, 10 of which was lost pre op. I am tracking everything I eat and drink through My Fitness PAl. If I don't, I really loose track of my intake. Also, I started working out 3 times per week beginning last week. I am a slow looser, but am just trying to accept it. If I really track my food and stay between 800 and 900 calories everyday with 60 grams of protein, AND I exercise 3 times a week, the weight HAS TO come off. I am seriuosly contemplating getting rid of my scale. I get on it a couple of times a week and it just brings me down. This is the way I'll be eating for a very long time, so why bother weighing myself. I get more positive feedback by how my clothes fit and how generous people are with their compliments. I am also hoping to have a healthier weight loss with less chance of hair loss, and that my skin will shrink accordingly. Slow and stead is my mantra.
