Is this a whey allergy?

I finally got my samples from Nectar. The fuzzy navel tasted great and I was slowly taking sips. After about 6 sips (in 30 minutes) I started.to feel bloated. Still bloated.an hour later. (I stopped drinking as soon as I felt bloated)

Is it normal to feel this way with protein drinks? It doesn't feel good! I used water to make it.

Try putting some gas drops (pediacare makes a good one) in with it. Protein nautally is a little "foamy" and so it is easy to get a lot of air in your tummy.

I can hardly use any of the "Protein" items as I get itchy if I have too much that contain soy. I use a vegetable based protein drink and usually the protein bars are ok. It very well could be an allergy.

I get that way now before surgery. In fact I will have stomach pain and feel nausia for a few hours after I have my shake. Make me wonder how I'm going to be able to handle it after surgery.

there are also some very mixes that use egg protein that you can try

When I drink protein drinks with whey, my throat feels like it's starting to close up! It's kind of scary, and it lasts for almost an hour. I was bummed because I liked the taste of the Synthrax nectars. Another hand me down to my hubby!
