Dehydration

I posted last night that I was concerned sbout dehydration. Today I have been tracking my fluids. So far I've had 37 oz of water.. Will def get in 48 before bed not including pop cycles, applesauce and some protien. My urine is still super dark and I have really bad back pain. I'm sure I've been getting close to 48 oz each day.. Should I be concerned? I'm not sure what this back pain is but it sometimes feels like it's coming from my lungs but my muscles are sore too.

I would bet it's your kidneys.....You need to drink more to clear it out. Try getting some Propel or something like that to help out. I had to be admitted to the hospital for a 2nd time b/c of dehydration and I was there for 5 more days. Drink, drink, drink!!!

I've been drinking water, tea and powerade zero.

Lose the tea. It's a natural diuretic. Stick with water, SF vitamin water, Powerade Zero, etc. Make sure you get in your protein & your vitamins.

Dark urine and back pain? Call your doctor's office and report this. You may need to go in and be tested for a urinary tract infection.

I agree with Mila...you need to contact your doctor to be sure it is not a urinary tract infection.

Call the doctor tomorrow, and send someone who loves you out right now for some cranberry juice. You can mix it with your water and get a jump start if you have a UTI or Kidney infection.

Pain in the lungs - please do your breathing exercise to rule out pneumonia and sip sip sip. All the best with the doc.

At thebeginning my urine was pretty dark too but after you know being able to drink more and eat more and i guess after all the medicine and whatever the dr put in you comes out of your body your urine will look "normal" I keep a g2 with me all day!
