It all gets easier as you heal (and stretch a bit) I am over 9 months out and still have those issues.. although I'm not gagging and needing to talk a walk after two bites anymore. Water still has to be sipped, it's almost as if I'm not able to swallow anymore. (at least not without a wierd gulp of air along with my sip) Plus if you do try to take a big gulp, it will probably hurt a little. Continue to take it slow - it is going to take time for you to learn all the ways that your body is adjusting to your new tummy
I promise, in no time, you will understand what you need to do, and what you need to NOT do. lol

Thanks for the post Jewel, helped me also as I am in a similar boat to Manthey........this week having the flu and not eating after transitioning to soft foods. Not sure if the nausea is sleeve or flu related, but its been fierce. Going back on shakes to build some strength back up till this cold/flu passes.

I always have a stomach ache after I eat and I am always thirsty. I feel like I need to chug a gallon of water and maybe I would feel better. I can drink much faster now but still can not get my 64 oz in but on a plus point it does not hurt to swallow anymore.

I am also four weeks out. The last couple of days have been crappy for me. I was dehydrated and my doctor said that my blood pressure was low. But eating the right foods is more of an issue. All I want is carbs. I guess we all have different struggles. What helped me was drinking water with pedialyte popsicles melted in it. The popsicles alone are too sweet. I feel better today. Take it one day at a time. And you could always go back to the liquid diet if you don't feel like eating. Good blessings on your journey.

Weetabix may be too hard for your stomach at 4 weeks.

I am six weeks out & around week 4 I experienced similar issues. I'm glad to know that it isn't just me. At one point, I could get in 60-70g of protein per day. Now, I struggle to get in 40-50g per day...ugh! I am still trying to get in more protein. Yesterday, I finally got in 63g...hopefully, I can do it again today. Good luck!
