After 2 days of no gym because of my knee, I HAD to go today. I did my HIT training and walked for 30 minutes on the treadmill. It felt good to move again.
Wow, I have been remiss in posting. My half-marathon in Dallas was cancelled due to the weather (boo!) and so my plans have been altered a bit:
Wed. 12/4 - 50 minutes of Pilates, 45 minute heated Yoga "express" class, 60 minutes of USTA doubles tennis and 30+ minutes of walking
Thur. 12/5 - 45 minutes (+) of walking, 30 minutes on the Elliptical and a 50 minute "Megaformer" Pilates class at this studio in Dallas. It is like twice a regular PIlates class
Fri. 12/6 - 50 minutes on the treadmill
Sat. 12/7 - 50 minute Megaformer class and 50 minutes on the treadmill
Sun. 12/8 - 50 minute Megaformer class
I'm hoping to get some long runs in when I get back to WI tomorrow and this week. It will be cold but I've bought some warmers for my gloves that I think will do the trick. I guess the real question is "IF" I get home, DFW is running at like 50% capacity. Yikes! They don't handle snow and ice as well as we do in Wisconsin, that's for sure.
I too have been remiss in posting, but have been faithful to exercise. Hitting the gym and taking classes multiple times a week. My faves are Group Power (weight lifting class), hour of power (body weight and circuit training) and Zumba! Did my first spin class the other night and learned that yes, even my forearms could sweat! The sweat was pouring off of me! I also met with a personal trainer 2x in order to get me a nice routine for when I am not in a class. Assisted pull ups are fun!
Not walking as much because it is so darn cold out, so trying to make up for that in other ways.
Happy Friday, y'all!

Both of my knees and thighs are torn up and I'm seriously damaged. Like I can't walk/stand very far and I need one of those disabled placards. But I'm going to do some water walking/aerobics when my schedule allows. I HATE not exercising. I do do what my physical therapist has Rx'd for me, but I miss moving at my own pace, walking, etc.
Totally slacking in the exercise department this week.
Fri - took a rest day
Sat - Spin
Sun - jog for an hour
Mon - nothing
Tue - only did some jumping jacks
Wed - spin & zumba
Thur - nothing
Plan to go spinning now. What a drag. The freezing cold weather really did me in mentally.
Walked halfway to work yesterday in the frigid cold. Today is Hour of Power at the gym. Then a date.
At some point tomorrow, I will get the winter workout of shoveling out my car from the storm!

Jog on the treadmill for an hour. Glad to go to the gym when there was still light. The snow storm is terrible. Stay warm everybody.
I've been lazy about posting too--too busy and too lazy!
I have been exercising though, just about daily. I even ordered T25 and did the first Cardio workout yesterday. I still have steel-toe boot marks in my butt from T25 kicking it! Of course, after I caught my breath then I put in another dance-based exercise program because I'm USED to working out an hour a day. Sigh. Last night I came down with my first cold since surgery in May, and it's a doozy. No worky-outy for me today. I'm wheezing just walking around the house! What's ironic is that my hubs and I had just discussed how neither of us has been sick since surgery... That's what I get for even saying such a thing!
Maybe I can get back at it tomorrow, but maybe not T25 just yet! A nice "sedate" strength-training session ought to do.
I feel for you guys that live in cold weather. I mean, we get cold fronts down here too, and it even freezes hard occasionally, but at least I'm never trapped indoors because it's just too cold to go out. Then again, we do get trapped indoors during the summer because it's just too hot to go out!
This has been a good week for me.
Monday: Zumba
Tuesday: an hour at the gym, stretching, cardio and Strength.
Wednesday: 45 minutes of stretching and elliptical and a ton of walking at work.
Today: walking at work and then going to walk around and see Christmas lights tonight.
