Milk of Magnesium

It is so nasty. My stomach does not like it ,but dr said that is what I have to take to get some relief. Anyone have any suggestions to get it down.

That's what I had to use as well.. I got the cherry flavor but it's still God awful... YUCK! Just hold your nose and get it down..... I would chase it with some water and then swish around some mouthwash afterwards. There is a tea called "smooth move" and it works as well. I have it at night and in the morning I get some relief... no cramps at all!

i keep it in the refrig. I can't stand the stuff at room temp. Try the mint or cherry. The plain is just torture.

Why not use a "gentle" laxative for woman like Correctol tablets?

My doc is absolutely against the tablet or capsule laxs...cramping and other reasonings..take them safely, by asking ur doc

Not sure about TexGal but laxatives didn't work for me.... I tried suppositories, enemas, and laxatives and nada....... Milk of Magnesium did the trick! It was 9 days before I had a bowel movement after surgery.....

Oh ok. I used the Correctol and it worked....next day but no cramping it was gentle. =) Now, I had soy beans and watermelon yesterday that ended up being a huge laxative and I did not want it to be. =/

Though.. Not sure that will work. This is what dr told me to do and then get on a regular one

I was told you can take half a dose of MoM every other day to stay regular if you need.
