    Default Sobbing sensation

    Hi guys,

I have been getting a strange sobbing sensation when I breathe. It doesn't happen all the time, but sometimes when I take in a breath I get these involuntary 'spasms' that make me sound like I am about to cry. Am I alone on this one or has anyone else experienced this?
Also, I needed to sneeze the other day, but couldn't as my left side was so painful! I also get pain there if I hiccup.

    Any help appreciated!

    Love
    Lisa xxxxxx

I was sleeved on 3/24. I was having spasms too! Not painful, but definitely took my breath away. They seemed to have gone away, not sure why or how. Going to talk to my doctor tomorrow at my 2 week follow up!

I hadn't thought about it like what you have described, but yes, I've found this "sobbing" sensation too and thought I was losing my mind! No pain though...probably should have that checked out!

The Dr told me that it would go away and it did, after about 18 days? He said that it is common since they get so close to the ribs with the instruments and damage the nerves.

I found that if I used the breath tool they gave me it helped alot with this, it is uncomfortable to use but it is meant to keep your lungs clear and you need to keep exercising them basically.

I had the pain on the left side - my dr said it was just muscular/ skeletal from the surgery. It started at about week 2, completely gone by week 4. :-) Hang in there, breathe deep and take it easy.

    Good Luck!
