New to site

Hello to everyone. I am new to this site. I
am seriously considering gastric sleeve surgery
But am very nervous. I am considering Mexico
Because of price and the fact that my medical
Insurance won't cover it here. Any advice would be helpful.
Also if you do an elective non- insurance covered surgery,
will your insurance cover care from complications?
Any thoughts on Dr. Almanza? Thank you!!!

Welcome! I'm having my surgery with Dr. Almanza next year. I just paid the $500 deposit. I've heard many good things about him and his staff in Mexico. You might want join the Dr. Almanza Patients group under the Groups page. That's where I joined and found tons of stuff to read from men and women who have been sleeved by him. I hope this helps you

Call your insurance service rep and ask about complication coverage. I would think it depends on your plan.

I am having surgery with Dr. Almanza on the 11th. I will be sure to let everyone know what I think.

I had Dr. Garcia do my surgery at the Mi Doctor Hospital. I have complications with post op infections. I believe that I would go with Dr. Almanza if I had to do it over again. Best of luck to you.
