Question Anyone else feeling MORE restriction???

I had surgery on March 27th and have been thrilled with everything so far...no complications...no trouble getting water in at all. However, the last two weeks or so I am feeling more restriction. I literally get down about 4 or five bites of food and I'm DONE. Like getting the "warning" signals that let me know one more bite is gonna result in the "foamies".I don't feel hungry or like I'm not getting satisfied, but I am getting this uncomfortable feeling of having a lump in my esophagus. Like there is food just sitting on top of my stomach and it takes a an hour or two for it to go away. Taking a sip of water doesn't seem to help much either. I'm just wondering if someone else has experienced this? It's not painful at all, just very uncomfortable....

That is very common, I have the same thing. I can tell you it does get better. I am almost 3months out. Just remember to eat very slowly and take very small bites. There are things that you are gonna have a problem with no matter how small or slow you eat. Keep up the great work

Had my surgery April 17, all has gone great. I also am getting that feeling and have had to cut down on already small meals. I eat more often to compensate. I feel fine just that lump is annoying, keep feeing that I am eating too much or too fast, of course blaming me. Guess it is just part of the process and will pass like others have past. I find that if I get up and walk or but my arms over my head it sometimes help.

Purplelace70~ Yep, that is the feeling. It does seem to help to get up and walk a bit...trying to lay down seems to be a big no-no. I also kept thinking I was taking too big of bites or eating too fast...well, good to know it seems to be a common occurance and hopefully a passing one as well

Yes, i know what that's like, but even though the sipping after is tempting, for me it is almost ALWAYS a mistake as it will tend to make me to slime and throw it up or cause "dumping" by pushing it through too fast! Your sleeve is doing its job, some foods do better then others. Soft mushy do better and you can get a little more in then the solids and meat or raw vegetables can be the worst! Soft bread can be hard, but dry crackers do great...go figure! You will get used to your sleeve and what it will and will not tolerate! Love Rainbow
