    Default One week post!

OMG! I can not believe that it has been a week since my surgery. I had my surgery March 23 at 10am at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ. It was an experience. The surgery went well and to tell you the truth I can't remember anything about it but seeing my doctor and going to sleep. next thing I knew I was waking up in recovery to awaiting family members.

I do have to say that a week out and I am still in pain. Of the 5 cuts there is only one (the biggest one) that really hurts. I was told by my surgeon (at my post op visit) that it was normal since that is the cut they took the stomach out of...GO FIGURE! There is most likely trauma to the muscles inside and it is the one with the most stitches.

I feel good though. Each day I feel better and better. I started working again (I know I know...why so soon) but needed to get some things done before I came back full swing. I am only here until 1pm anyway each day.

Please feel free to ask me any questions" I am here to help

    God Bless

Congrats! I also came back to work like 1.5 weeks off of work. Had surgery on 03/02 and was back to work on 03/14. I felt too good to just sit at home.

My first couple of days was a little rough. Was in A LOT of pain.

Wishing you the best of luck!!!

I was sleeved on 24th March, so I am at around the same phase. I, too, still have some pain. The one above my belly button hurts the most - which I think too was where my evil stomach was removed! LOL
I have felt very tired and weak the last couple of days, but I put that down to the fact that I had to have a transfusion of 5 pints of blood after surgery. Burst blood vessel.....lovely. Don't remember much about it, except being told I was being taken back into surgery. Doesn't seem to have slowed down recovery much, which is a relief.
So far, no hunger, only thirst. And is there anything more satisfying than stepping (gingerly - lol) on those scales and seeing the pounds melt away.? Having the sleeve was the best decision I have ever made. No regrets at all.

    Love

Caylor&Brock'sMmmy: That is incredible! Try not to over-work yourself though. I went back to work under the condition that I would leave by 12 noon or the latest 1pm. If you are done with the month end and can leave early I recommend it so that you don't over work your body. You aslo need your health to recover.

fingalcrom: I am so happy you are doing well and that everything went well despite the second surgery. I love the fact that I finally got the guts to do the sleeve and that everything went well. I do not regret it either!

Make sure that you take your multivitamins and your calcium and your B-12 to give you the strength you need. Continue drinking a lot of water and taking those protein shakes. I am so tired of mine but only a few more days of them to go. Then we are off to PUREE foods....yyyaaaayyyy

I am in the same timeline! I was sleeved on 3/24. I feel great! Very little pain (not taking pain meeds anymore) walking everyday, going back to work on Monday. I am very tired of this very sweet liquid diet...can't wait to have some food that isn't artificial.
    Hang in there ladies!

I had my sleeve done on the 28th of March, and it has been wonderful!! Today was my first day back at work, and suprisingly it has gone smoothly. I haven't gotten brave enough to step on the scales yet since my liquid diet before surgery, trying to wait till next Monday, really excited to see some results!!!!

    I love my new Sleeve
