    Default Advice Please!

I think I'm in a stall I was crossing my fingers I wouldn't have this problem - so for those out there who say "think positive and it will happen" what a crock! LOL I was losing at a pretty good pace there in the beginning - I'd wear a pair of jeans one week and go to put them on again the next week and they were too big. The last time I weighed in was June 11th, but I just feel like there's been no change.

I've heard of people hitting stalls before I just didn't expect it this soon

I haven't been the best patient, I don't do my meds or vitamins, I only get in 40 oz of water (on a good day) and the only protein I get is from what food I eat, or I should say from what food I keep down. In a typical day I'll have 1/3-1/4 of a breakfast sandwich (crossaint, ham & cheese) for breakfast. Maybe 2 oz of meat (generally with some cheese) & a few bites of veggies for lunch. For dinner generally something Turkey (like turkey sausage, turkey bacon etc.) again around 2 oz. So I know what protein I am getting in isn't much. I'm afraid to do the protein drinks because #1 their gross, #2 they make me nauseaus and #3 because there are so many calories - I know I'm way too focused on calories (I freaked out when I actually tracked what I ate one day and some how it amounted to 400 calories for the day).

I really want this stall to go away any suggestions?

Try cutting out your bread, and really try to find a protien that works for you. At Vitamin Shoppe they will return any protien you've tried and dislike. I'm on my 3rd one, I think I'm keeping this one. I've heard GNC does the same. They also have pre-made protien, Oh Yeah is pretty tasty. At this point most people say you have to up your potien. I havn't hit the stall yet, but I am expecting it to come. My Dr says you are allowed 400-600 calories per day, so I think you'll be ok if you go over 400 calories. Good luck.

Go up on your calories a bit with protein and the weight will start dropping again. If you stick to 400 a day, your body will be in starvation mode and hold on to whatever you put in it. You definately have to eat more to get the weight coming off again. Also, if you don't eat enough protein, you are losing more muscle mass than fat. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Your water intake seems fine. I agree cut the bread, up the protein slightly.

I am still in the preop phase (surgery is week after next) so drinking a lot of protein drinks. I agree most of them are gross but i did find a great one at Costco called Premier Nutrition Protein (30 gb of protein). Also i am not a big water drinker but have adjusted well to the Vitamin Water Zero (Sugar Free)
