    Default Dr Update

So I went to the dr. today and he gave me the okay to continue all activities and eat whatever I want. I am having a salad tonight!!!! So anyway, he said I didn't look happy and I said I wasn't. I haven't lost much weight at all (as you can see from the ticker). He told me that it was fine and I should be happy about losing inches (which I am!). My plan (he wants for me) is to drink 2 shakes and eat 3 meals a day. I haven't gotten that far. Usually 2 shakes and eating 1 or 2 times. He said that would create the best weight lose scenario if I could eat 3 times and 2 shakes. So, that will be my goal. On a sad note, the back of my knee is killing me. I can not bend it or straighten it. I can not put any weight on it. I spent hours in emergency, and they couldn't find anything wrong. No clots or torn ligaments. It hurts so bad. Ice and elevation for the next couple of days. Liquid Lortba which is disgusting, and I threw it up this morning. Hopefully I will be back to walking next week...plus more.

    Alisa

I am sure your primary may have an idea what the pain is about. The good news is that you can eat whatever! How great is that! Please let us know what he says. We are all interested in your health.

2 shakes and 3 meals sounds like a lot until
I explain what my sleever meal consists of.
I think it has to do with blood sugars and
keeping my body using the right fuels.
For me the food scale and measuring cups
help quite a bit. Even after my weight loss
my eyes and mind do not portion correctly.
Sorry about the knee problem. I am in a arm
cast now after my shoulder surgery. I went
to the er and wasted time because I didn't
want to face the fact it wasn't going to get
better on its own. Men in pain are sometimes
    not too smart.
    /mike/
p.s. Congrats on breaking into the 2's. I was a
big deal to me. I celebrate each and every
pound loss. When I finally get in to the 1's,
I will be shouting from the roof top.

Mike, sorry to hear about the shoulder surgery. As to the weight loss, you're doing great and you are so close to the 1's I wouldn't be surprised if you are there by the time you read this.
