    Default Had my pre-op today

Met my surgeon who is realy nice. Looks like i will be having broth and jello with protein shakes for the first week. Will stay in hospital 2 days. 2nd week I can add soft foods like eggs, cottage cheese, ricotta cheese, yogurt. Best thing i heard was that i only have to drink the protein shakes for 6-8 weeks post surgery. Hallelujah! The also told me about a drink that you can get at GNC that has 40 grams of protein and is like gatorade so I may try that during the first week. Anyway, i am ready to do this.

Do some research on the protein shakes.... GNC is very expensive - I started to buy from Discount Vitamins & Herbal Supplements from Puritan's Pride I love their Chocolate Whey Protein mixed with 1 teaspoon of peanut butter..

I do the GNC Grand Slam Max 50 and it is good after because it is not as thick as the others. The other one is isopure. It is OK I added some crystal light to mine... the grape is good. Just try them one at a time before you buy a full case. I also went on ebay and got them at a better price. But if you go to GNC and get a gold card ($10.00) I think you will save 20% the first 10 days of month. Also if you are military you can save all month long. So starting tomorrow I will be at GNC stocking up for the month!!

    Good Luck
