I had my sleeve on Wed April 6 and so it is 4 weeks today. I'm feeling fantastic. I was back in hospital today picking up my husband who had his sleeve on Monday. He is recovering quite well too. I weighed myself when we left the hospital and I've lost 9kg in a month. I'm so happy about that. That is 19.8 pounds. I made pumpkin and sweet potato soup and is so delicious. I froze it in little containers and that way I can eat it which ever day I want. I'm enjoying baked beans and spaghetti too. Scrambled eggs are a bit yummy and mush up casseroles too. I have a 4 and 5 year old so now make food for them and then I add liquid and mush up my bit. I'm making chicken and vege soup tomorrow and so drain some liquid for hubby and then I'll mash up the rest and freeze. I'm feeling so good and energetic and am so LOVING THE SLEEVE....

i had my surgery on April 28th and everything came out perfect. i was up and walking around the same day of the surgery and i was released from the hospital the next day. i only used the morphine the first day and since then i have not been on any kind of pain killers. So as you all can imagine most of you may say WOW what a lucky gal. Well by Saturday afternoon i started getting cold sweats and my heart was racing 1000 beats per minute. Sunday morning i woke up feeling the same way and was crying my heart out. This is how bad i was feeling that i stayed over at my ex husbands house in the bed with my kids. i felt i needed my kids with me. Monday the high anxiety and crying continued so my ex took me to the doctor and the doc increased the dosage on my depression meds and gave me some xanax to take as needed. it is suprising that my ex has been really supportive (no he is not remarried nor girlfriend) He has not wanted to leave me alone at home and takes me out to get air and sun and people watch. Gladly to say that as of May 4th i am feeling much better and i hope i will not have to take the xanax tomorrow. i am not a big pill person so i don't like to take them so much. i am doing the clear protein soups and i have done some creamy but very lightly. i don't want to overdo it. i also want to let everyone know that reading this forum also help ease my anxiety and nerves. it was great to know others were my brothers and sisters in this battle for weight loss.

Jess, how did you come across the BNS protein? I'm wary to try something new, but I'm already sick of my protein and I'm 9 days out. I have the Optifast HP (high protein) in Vanilla. I haven't tried fancying the shake up yet, since I'm still only on liquids for another five days. Then I graduate to mushies.

    Hi Everyone

I was sleeved april 25. I'm doing pretty good; My surgeon has me on liquids for 3 weeks post-op. I was type 2 diabetic taking glucophage before surgery. I haven't taken it since surgery however my sugar is dropping too low. once 67 and once 53. Has this happened to any of you?

Hi Jess! I'm doing great. I'm down 29 pounds total (5 before surgery & 24 after surgery). I just started on some solid foods and I'm trying to figure out how much I can tolerate. Today I ate some thinly sliced lunchmeat and although I didn't have much it was a few bites too many. No pain but some came back up right after eating. I need to slow down and start with less. I feel great and have no complaints! Hope you are doing just as well.

Wish I could say I lost as much as you!!!!!!!!!!!! i've only lost 15 lbs. since surgery. I am still on soft foods for another week. I can introduce solids on the 16th. I am nervous that I can easily eat 4-6oz. of mushies (pureed food, yogurt, soup, etc.) so I am nervous about solids myself. I feel good... and haven't had any pain associated with surgery healing or eating.

Hey Alisse... I had the lapband for 3 years and actually learned about the BSN at a lapband conference I attended... they were making shakes for people to try and OMG, I feel in love. It's the only protein powder I've ever purchased since!!!! If you want to send me your address privately, I'll send you a couple scoops to try before you go ahead and invest in it!! Let me know!
